Guest guest
Hi Cathie, I looked up " herx " quickly-it's a word used to describe a healing crisis that we bring on ourselves through vigorous detox. This is the 1st definition I ran across, if you're not familiar with it. Not to be " freaky " , but I've read some detoxes leave behind dead cells all around the body, including the brain, that bring on their own problems. So, the doc may want to dial back on treatment, or up the body flush, if you think this is causing her sleeping/tiredness. Then again, one would think it would make her need to sleep/rest, even if the treatment was just right. I'm guessing it's alot to go through, and her body must be working hard. Take into consideration also if she is vomiting, diarrhea (?). I do believe in detox, systems cleansings, but even mild ones I've done for myself made me weak and tired for a time. Herxheimers (Herx) basically can be a side effect of any antibiotic, be it pharmaceutical, herb, or colloidal silver. When it kills the bugs faster than your eliminatory system is able to remove them from the system, it manifests itself generally with flu like symptoms. These can include headaches, soreness/swelling in joints, swollen glands, bloating, constipation, and numerous other discomforts. ;-) in Ma. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
