Guest guest
This information comes from an individual at the California Department of Education. It describes an opportunity from the Starkey Hearing Foundation to provide new, top-of-the-line, Destiny 1600 hearing aids free to children in the San Francisco Bay area. Read for further information about a deadline. If you would like more information and the parent consent form, please let me know as I am not able to send the attachments through the list. But I'd be happy to send the attachments to private e-mail addresses. wkeedy@... [dhhearlystartteachers] Fwd: All-Star Game San Francisco Hearing Aid Opporutunity Joy Murdock at the Let Them Hear Foundation has asked me to spread the word about this opportunity for children to receive free, top-of-the-line hearing aids. Please share this information with others. Greetings IMPACT Friends! I spoke with on Friday regarding this AMAZING opportunity! As you will see below, the Starkey Hearing Foundation wants to donate top of the line hearing aids to children whose families can't afford to purchase aids. I know there are children on CCS who are waiting for authorization, or can't find a dispenser who accepts CCS insurance, as well as families who have private insurance that doesn't cover hearing aids. This is a one of a kind opportunity to get those kiddos hooked up with hearing aids! But we need your help, because as you will note, the date of the event is less than a month away - July 9th. PLEASE spread the word! I have attached the documents that must be completed and returned prior to the event (due June 29, 2007)!!!! agreed to spread the word amongst the IMPACT group, and amongst CAL-ED. I imagine many of the Teachers of the D/HH in CA - especially Early Start Professionals - have students in mind who could benefit tremendously from this event. Thanks for your help! Joy A. Palo Alto, CA 94303 650/462-3119 (Direct) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings from the Starkey Hearing Foundation! We are ready to embark on an amazing event to help the children of the greater San Francisco Area. The Starkey Hearing Foundation is looking for help in identifying children/young adults who could benefit from new top of the line, Destiny 1600, hearing aids. We want to provide these top of the line hearing aids to people who otherwise couldn't afford them. I have attached the documents that must be completed to take advantage of this one-of-a-kind San Francisco Mission, to be held at the St. Regis Hotel in downtown San Francisco on Monday, July, 9th 2007. Please send impression boxes and all required paperwork (attached) to the Starkey Hearing Foundation World Headquarters address: Attn: San Francisco Mission Starkey Hearing Foundation 6700 Washington Ave. South Eden Prairie, MN 55344 If you have any questions, please contact your Starkey representative. The San Francisco Mission is going to be a wonderful and inspiring event. There is no limitation to the number of kids we can help, but our focus is the children whose families can't afford to purchase new hearing aids. Note: If we recruit enough families from the Sacramento and/or San areas, we will provide shuttle service to transport the children + parents/guardians to San Francisco for the event. Please encourage families to complete and submit their materials ASAP so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your support!
