Guest guest
Hello: I need help. I could not find a good dosing container-measurer for the OTC cream. So I have been winging it. I just found out we own the My Weigh MX-200 scale. I charged the batteries and recalculated it to g (grams). My choices are g, oz,dwt or ozt. How do I weigh 2.5mg on this scale. Help! And now, since I have been winging the dosage, where do I start, or do I have to stop and start this whole process again. Helena Helena412@... **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
I won't be much help with the scale, but you should be able to find a syringe at most pharmacies or stores like Wal-mart. It is made to give medicine orally to infants. It looks just like a fat shot, but without the needle part. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. I filled it up and air was shot out and then the cream just kept oozing out. I was unhappy with that...... Just looking for and easier way to make life easier. I wish the MD would give me Cortef. Guest guest
Thank you very much. I have winged it in the past 3 weeks, and find I am fluid filled-is this a side effect of too much cortisol? Guest guest
You can work it out like this: 1 oz of 1% HC cream weighs 28 grams This would contain 1% or 280mg cortisone 1oz equals 6 tsps OR 24 1/4 tsps Thus 280mg cortisone divided by 24 1/4 tsps equals 11.666mg per each 1/4 tsp of 1% HC cream If you want to be as accurate as possible and use a hand held scale which measures to one/tenth gram 1 mg = .085 gram 5 mg = .425 gram 7 mg = .595 gram 10mg = .85 gram Using the 10mg per 1/4 tsp is just rounding. When I am home I use the scale and measure like I've shown above. When away from home, I either take HC tablets or use a 1/4 tsp to measure.
