Guest guest
I'll check to see if would be a willing participant. " Compliant " is not a descriptor for his right now so I have no idea if he'll be interested. I'd be interested in his responses though! I look forward to the results of your study. We, Olson, a student at Central Michigan University, a Haggerty, sister of Patty and daughter of Bonnie, and Tim Hartshorne, father of , are conducting an initial study of how being the sibling of a child with CHARGE affects people. We are looking for about ten siblings, ages 15 and up who would be willing to participate by completing a form. If you have a sibling you believe might be willing to participate, please let us know by off-list email. We will then contact you with additional information. The impact on siblings has been a frequent issue discussed on the list. We hope to be able to provide some answers. Guest guest
I too look forward to the results. Good luck with your research you three, it is one which is much needed. Hope you get lots of volunteers. You are certainly choosing the right age to look at if my 4 year old is anything to go by. She started expressing an interest in meeting " other children with sisters and brothers with a disability " recently. She obviously has not noticed she has been meeting them regularly all her life. Anyway I got on to the Sibkids list to help her to write an e-mail of her choosing. I suggested it may not be a good thing to tell everyone " my sister is a guava " . She changed it to " my sister is a pretzel " ! Hmm, back to the drawing board! Perhaps she is a little young. We did get a little introductory mail written and she was very excited when she got a few welcoming replies. Aiming to get on the list ocassionally when her sister becomes a non fruit or snack.
