Hi Val,

I've been on Florinef for about 6-8 weeks now and feeling

considerably better, but I just had labs done and they're NOT

considerably better! Would appreciate your feedback:

sodium 140 (dec. '07 135)

potass 3.9 (dec. '07: 3.9)

chlor 101 (dec. '07:100)

As far as potassium, I have a hx of low K and had been supplementing

slo K, 8 meq, twice a day for years. I stopped taking this when I

started taking Florinef....perhaps I should start taking it again. ??

I eat a literal ton of high K foods, so it is not my diet that is at

fault.

As far as salt goes, I have to be careful now that I don't take too

much salt as I get headaches if I do; In addition to salting my

food, I drink 1 tsp salt, spread throughout the day...but perhaps I

can sneak another 1/4 tsp a couple times a day more....What do you

suggest?

Why are these labs so low, do you think?

Dahlia

I htink going back on the potassium will help your body brig the sodoium up too.

You r body is losing potassium for some reason and it will try to keep them

balanced so I would try that before increasing the sodium more.
