Hi Val and all~

I had a minor surgery yesterday: endometrial ablation (this is where

they scrape and cauterize the inside of your uterus with the hopes

that you will not bleed so heavy (or at all) when you get your periods,

I was hemorraghing for 2 days whenever I got mine and my iron levels

were really low), they also removed a uterine polyp they had discovered.

They gave me a 100 mg steriod boost prior to surgery and all went well

and I am feeling fine today.

My question is, do I drop down to my pre-surgery dose today, I was

taking 27.5 mg or do I continue to stress dose for a few days and if so,

how much would you recommend. I added an extra 5 mg to my dose this

morning (took 15 mg) then I took 10 mg at noon.

I think my body liked that 100 mg boost as I feel really good today.

But, don't want to get caught up in taking too much and messing myself

up later.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Thanks for the advice, Val.

I felt great yesterday (did the extra 20 mg dose), but I am feeling really out

of it today.

Dizzy, tired, weak...just plain discombubalated (sp?!). Should I do another 20

mg stress dose

today instead of 10 mg? I felt so good after that 100 mg boost they gave me for

surgery, I am

wondering if I need to up my hc from 27.5 mg a day to maybe higher, as I have

been having

problems with dizziness and weakness for several weeks. I am only taking 15

mg/day of thyroid, that

is all I am able to tolerate at this time. My ferritin is up from 7 to a 53, so

that is making

improvement. But, I was on iron when I took the test, didn't know until I read

the recent posts

that you should be off for a few days for an accurate reading.

Your input is always appreciated!!

Sincerely,
