Guest guest
Hi Val and others. Today I finally got the results of some blood work that I had done in February. I know this sounds crazy, but I was hoping some of the results would be out of range, but they all appear to be in range. I know I need to raise thyroid, but it will be hard to convince my Dr. of that b/c my labs look fairly normal. As a reminder, I'm the one who had a thyroidectomy 4 years ago. I take 100 mcg synthroid and 1 grain Armour per day. I am now up to 30 mg HC per day. I had these labs taken at 8 am, had not taken any thyroid meds that day, and had fasted salt for several days. I was ramping up HC so was probably on about 15 mg. I also take 25 mcg of Calcitriol (Vit D) per day b/c my parathyroids were somewhat damaged during thyroid surgery. I would value any opinions any of you might have, esp on the Aldestrone/Renin results, as I am not very familar with these tests. Thanks.
