Guest guest
I have taken abotu every combo known to man since being hypo for 33 years. Armoru is the ONLY one and Armoru plus extra T3 that worked for me. My body doesn;t recognize T4 as a thyroid hormone unless it is from Armoru so Bioidentical ort not there are MANY peole that do not utilize synthetic T4 well. As for the rtatio.. BUNK. For over 100 years Armoru was all they had and people got WELL on just that, and they would be now if not for the poisions we now ingest tat every turn no matter how clean your diet is that are destroying our HPA and adrenal function. Now the enzymes are missing that we need to convert well and MOST hypothyroid peole are poor converters of T4 to T3 an the micx in Armoru is never too high in T3 or the body simply lowers conversion of T4 to make up the difference. The doctors that think Armour's T3 is too high have seen patients iht a hig blood level of T3 from LOW CORTISOL. and did nto recognize it for what it was, tissues not getting the T3 they need due to that low cortils and a build up in the blood of it that is not working for the person at all. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hi . Like Val, I've tried about every combo out there as well. Right now I'm on 100 mcg of synthroid & 1 grain Armour per day (both sublingual). For me I think it's more about taking enough thyroid (I don't have a thyroid) than it is about what I'm taking. I know I " m not on enough, but am working on getting the adrenals optimized first. But I don't ever plan to go back to straight T4. In fact, I'll probably switch to all Armour. Guest guest
I tried blanchards protocol bc my doc uses it .. felt like crap. The armour part is compounded as slow release, and i felt better once i switched to regular release. Overall gained 15lbs since starting the protocol and feel no better than i did on nothing at all. That being said, i also tried straight synthroid (felt like death) and straight armour (felt like i was having a heart attack). I haven't yet found the right combo. > > Hello, > > I hope someone can help me. I have just read What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Hypothyroidism by Ken Blanchard. He seems to have a very good argument for taking a physiologic dose of thyroid hormone: 98% T4 and 2% T3 in order to replicate what the normal human thyroid gland produces. He uses a mixture of Synthroid for the T4 and Armour for the T3. > > He says that Armour alone contains a proportion that is too high: 80% T4 to 20% T3. > > Has anybody tried a mixture of synthetics and natural thyroid hormones? Does anyone have an opinion of why it wouldn't be valid or helpful? I'm trying to get pregnant, if that makes a difference. > > Thank you so much, > > H > > > --------------------------------- > Never miss a thing.
