Guest guest
wow!! this is great! maria Local Honor Society I have to share a great thing that is happening in our school district. We were approached by a High School Honor Society Student, 10th grade.. She knows and is always very sweet with her. She is also 's " volunteer " that helps with Special Olympics Swimming. Our district Honor Society always does fundraising for many organizations. They just did a big formal chariety event at an old castle here on Long Island for ALS. They also have students that raise money for children in Africa i beleive. These High School students learn about the needs of many unfortunate people, and it teaches them appreciation, respect and organizational skills and more. When they get an idea about something they present it to the Principal, and the Honor Society. Well this girl, , came up with a " Walk for " . It is going to be at eh High School Track next month. Students are getting sponsors and donations per lap around the tack to " Help bring one step closer to being able to walk! " The proceeds from this will help support us when we travel to the month long rehab program's out of state w/. The money is going to be helpful, but the support and love this girl and the community is giving us means $1,000,000!
