Guest guest
Dear - You've caught my eye again (and I am terribly behind on my emails!) was very the same at that age. He had these foam numbers which were bath toys and he had the " 6 " and the " 9 " always on his thumbs. They were very important items, and much discussion about knowing where they were at all times for a while. As he became older it wasn't the holes, but items that fit into his hand well. For a long time he had two special plastic giraffes that he held in his hands everywhere he went. I think in a way it was sensorily stabilizing for him, and allowed him something familiar to go through new experiences. He loves holes. , Luke's mom, age 2 1/2, CHARGE www.caringbridge.org/mn/lukejoseph .
