Guest guest
This seems to be the topic of the day. I had ACTH(18)and stim test. According to I'm hypopituitary. A doctor got it half right 3 years ago and I'm on DHEA, progesterone, testosterone. My estrogen at the time was very low(lower than the man's range)and the doctor was shocked because I'm 35. I am not on estrogen because he said that progesterone will balance it out. I was under the impression that we treat the sex hormones last and felt bad that I screwed up. But, now I'm confused. I was on HC for a little while but had a rough time and weaned down. One of my symptoms was blurry vision and sweating. I am also concerned about my higher blood sugar levels too. Last I checked, my insulin was < 2. I see my doctor in a few weeks and hopefully go back on HC. I thought that my problem before was not enough HC(I remember starting to feel a little better at 25mg), and/or possibly low aldosterone. Now, I feel discouraged and afraid to start again. I know the doctor will help me but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to do all the work. What should I do? Should I have my doctor test the sex hormones every 4 weeks or so to keep them on track while on HC? I went off the hormones 2 weeks prior to the stim test and it was horrible. Coming off the DHEA made me weak and I blacked out every time I stood up.
