Guest guest
I would put your cortisl between stage 2 and 3 it is reall ynot too bad. The reason you are feeling as bad as you re is th elow T3 whic WILL trasjh your adrenal swhich are beginning to show some stress. I would ot recommend cortils just yet, I think ;s suplement protocol is a gret idea but you need ot get that thyroid support going again. Synthroid is CRAP and it is not what your body would be making if it could. Millions of thyroid patients with Hashi's take Armoru and it lowers the antibodies when you take ENOUG to lower the TSH . I think you should try some Licorice root in the AM and at noon along with glandulars and adaptogens. You may need Isocort but maybe not. We can hope. You could use some testosterone too and that would help your insulin resistance as will ARMOUR. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Wow, thanks for the quick reply! You recommended licorice root, glandulars, and adaptogens; where can I find more info about these, like brands & dosages? You also said I could use some testosterone. I'm confused because my testosterone tests were normal except high % of free testosterone. Would it be better to take DHEA, as mine was in the low end of the range? I forgot to mention in my first post, that I'm also going to request saliva testing for my female hormones. I can get a panel of tests that also include cortisol & dhea. How often do you need to test these? Thanks again, ~Cat Re: Need Help w/test results ... long, sorry I would put your cortisl between stage 2 and 3 it is reall ynot too bad. Guest guest
Actually serum testing I believe is better for sex hormones, especially once you start supplementing them. I have heard that testosterone shoudl ne HIG Hin the normal rang for the total. That was what I was loking at. As for how often to test cortils, adrenal status doen;t change quickly. Unless oyu havea mighty crash which you will have NO doubt if that should happen. I would say you would only need ot test eveyr 6months or so with the DHEA and thyroid to make certain you are getting that where it needs to be. Low thyrid ois a HUGE stressor on adrenals and it down regulates every organin your body. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
