Guest guest
My blood cortisol test was .30 Range .20-1.80. With this low level I find it hard ot believe oyu have enough cortisol. I still think it is adjusting you need but it is MUCH easier to adjust wiht pills than with cream as we have no eway to know how much you absorb. I would lower the doses from each dose time starting wiht the lates day doses by 2.5mg eveyr 5 days faster than that and you are guaranteed to feel bad. SOME bad sympotms are to be expected especially if your adrneals cannot pick up the sklack -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
You can cut 2.5mg every 5 days till where yiou want to be. Panic and nausea are LOW cortisol symptoms these CAN be worse when you first start HC till you get ENOUGH in you. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
When cortisol drops tpoo low the t3 sits in the blood and cannot enter the cells. Guest guest
I would either add to the first oir second dose. as 7.5 5 and 2.5 would be the best rythm. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
Val, What would you do. Should I stay on or go off? I know I can't go off the way the doctor said by just cutting back to 5 mg when I am on 10 mg. What are the bad symptoms I would feel? Is one of them nausea? Has anyone else ever had feelings of being super panicky and not wanting to leave the house from being on this stuff? Re: DC Cortisol SR My blood cortisol test was .30 Range .20-1.80. Guest guest
Thanks Val, I was thinking that. I feel nauseated and don't want to eat and I also feel depressed. Can depression creep up with low cortisol or is it that my T3 is being used up and not getting to my cells? I am going to take my blood pressure now and maybe that will help determine what is going on. Re: DC Cortisol SR You can cut 2.5mg every 5 days till where yiou want to be. Guest guest
Okay. Now I took my blood pressure. It is a home one. I pumped it to 160. It said to pump it to 40 above normal systolic. My bp used to be 120/60. Today, after 30 minutes after eating it was 136/76 sitting and immediately after it was 135/81. I will have to take it a couple more times to make sure. Now my question is I have been at 5-2.5-2.5 for a few days. I am still on the Cortisol SR and will call on Monday to see if I can get put on HC. If I were to add another 2.5 where would I put it as it is SR. I know I don't want to add it to the last one. Guest guest
Val, I have a day to experiment with the Cortisol SR. I have taken 5-2.5-2.5 for about six days now. So, going on the theory of if you feel shaky right after you take the Cortisol then you are on too high a dose, I did the following. I have tried taking 5 mg of Cortisol Sr in the morning and that made me shaky, then I tried 2.5 mg and still made me feel shaky. So, then I went on your theory thinking I am not taking enough. So today was the day to test it. It did 10 mg of Cortisol SR all at once. I felt a little calmer at first and now I feel a little more reved up. I do not; however, feel sad today. I just feel like I am reved up. Some mental confusion/anxiety mix. I am talking a little more, etc. I have been taking 30 mcg of T3 SR for three days now. I was at around 27 mcg. Doc changed that on Monday. Do you think the mental confusion and anxiety are from changing the timing of my dose and they will subside? I am hoping to feel better as the day goes on. At least I am not sad. I did take some energy supplemnts today: C, tyroisine 1/2 tab. Thought I better hold the Complex B. Also, I didn't have the shakes like the lower doses. What do you think on this? Re: DC Cortisol SR My blood cortisol test was .30 Range .20-1.80. With this low level I find it hard ot believe oyu have enough cortisol. Guest guest
Do you think that the reved up feeling will subside in a few days when my body adjusts to taking the Cortisol SR all at once. I had taken 10 mg this morning and had been taking it 5-2.5-2.5. I had a lot of anxiety. I am not sure it is confusion or just feeling panicky, like I don't know what to do with myself and scatterbrain feelings. I plan on taking it tomorrow the same way. I have a little sadness now, but not as bad as it has been. I have only uped my T3 from 27 to 30, so I don't think that would make me reved. Do you think there was a lot sitting there to be used because I was feeling depression and not getting any? Thank you for holding my hand through all this??? I felt so alone.
