Guest guest
If you have Hashi's, you don't want anything with iodine in it. Even Morton's has additives in it. You want pure sea salt, and while there are other brands, Celtic is the best because it has the most minerals in it, which you need. Guest guest
>>Is that the only salt that is good for the adrenals? Is plain old Iodized Sea Salt ok? << there are several good brands, Celtic, Redmond's and himalayan, btu NO plain old iodized sea salt is processed adn NOT good. You want totally unrefined sea salt. If yiu feel you need iodine, then you need ot supplement it, btu I ould strongly urge oyu to have the loading test and also TSI antibodies run before supplementing iodin. Remember in thyroid meds you are getting iodine. Thyroid hormones are made of iodine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Nearly everyone here will say celtic is best. But frankly the planets oceans are the planets sewers, contaminated with mercury, too. After going over and over this salt issue in my mind, and reading all I can abuot it, I have decided that even if I lose my iodine allergy, I will not use sea salt unless it is mined from earlier, less polluted ages. I don't want to put sewage into my body, even if it is evaporated salt sewage. As it is, since I can't use any sea salt, I use a plain, non-iodized refined salt, and add a little diatomaceous earth (fresh water, food grade) for minerals. sol Anita Dean wrote: > Is that the only salt that is good for the adrenals? Guest guest
Ok and sorry to be so specific, but does it matter if it is the Light Grey or the Fine Ground? Thanks! Guest guest
The salt is technically for aldosterone deficiency isn't it? I've been taking iodine (Lugguls) for about 6 months, but am just now getting tested for antibodies and am waiting for those results. But, if I do not have Hashi's, is it ok to just take Lugguls instead of eating sea salt...or should you do both, or just the sea salt?? thanks, Liz > > As long as it is unrefined the color matters not, but if you get other > than Celtic I would avoid any that is really white as that is usually > refined. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
Sol, Redmonds in mined from the earth. If your theory is true, then theirs would be the best. Guest guest
Hi K, Yes, I have some, but can't use it. I begin to itch within 20 min of taking it, and have to take antihistamines to stop the allergic reaction at that point, before it progresses into actual eczema or hives. Haven't thrown it out, though. I keep hoping to reduce the allergy enough to enable me to use it. So far no luck, though I'm on 30-32.5 mg HC. sol tapmom5113 wrote: > Sol, Redmonds in mined from the earth. Guest guest
Yes, but what's buried near any of these locations. Lots of chemicals and other nasty items are buried to dispose of them. I'm leery of just any sea salt myself, Celtic is the only brand I use. Linn > > Sol, Redmonds in mined from the earth. Guest guest
Liz, Taking Lugol's has a different purpose than drinking salt water. Lugols and Iodoral are for iodine, which many claim is good for your thyroid. Some of the iodine docs (Dr. Brownstein) find that as many as 1/3 of his patients can go off thyroid meds once they have reached iodine saturation. Have you checked over on the Iodine board? Also you can read a lot on optimox.com. Dahlia > > > > >>The salt is technically for aldosterone deficiency isn't it? << > > > > No! Guest guest
So what exactly are the benefits of taking the celtic sea salt? What improvements in symptoms have people noticed? I use celtic sea salt as my table and cooking salt but don't take any extra at this point.
