Why do I feel worse with HC increase?

Hi all, my holistic MD started me on 7.5 mg of HC. She wanted me to

take 5 mg in the morning, and 2.5 in the evening. I spilt it into 3

doses (8 am, 1-2 pm, and 8 pm) as I didn't seem to tolerate the full

5 mg's in the am, and I ramped up slowly... 2.5 in the am for several

days, then addded the afternoon for a week, then added the evening

dose.

I felt fine for a while (a week on the three 2.5's), but now I don't

feel so great (better as the doses wear off, in fact)... should I

increase my dose? My MD has agreed to let me go up to 15 mgs a day

(she wants 10 mgs in the am, and 5 mgs in the evening). I didn't

want to use up all my pills before she wrote the new scrip, so I

added 1/16th tsp HC cream (still did the 2.5 at 8 am, moved the 2.5

up to noon, and added the 1/16th tsp cream at 4 pm, and kept the 8 pm

dose). I don't think the HC cream agrees with me-- it never did much

for me as a skin cream for eczema, mometasone worked better... So,

I've gone back to the 3 doses of 2.5, and am holding that for a few

days...

So, do I need more HC? Less? None at all? I'm so puzzled. Is this

excess thyroid hormones as the culprit because the adrenals are being

treated? I am NOT on any thyroid meds whatsoever, all my thyroid

labs have come back normal since 2000. I see my holistic MD on April

15th, and I was going to ask her if we can do thyroid tests again

with me on the HC, to see if the Free T3 & Free T4 are where they

should be.

Thanks for any advice or help!
