Guest guest
i've never had much luck w/ supplements i hate to say. i've had iron infusions through my doc and that worked, but i don't seem to hold onto iron. i've tried chelated, ferrous fumarate and gluconate, as well as floradix, a liquid i combine it w. C and avoid things that interfere w/ absorption been tested repeatedly for all types of anemia and so far all i've got is garden variety anemia i'd LOVE ideas or input. feel like i've exhausted all possibilities. my hct and hgb are still high from my last infusion, but my ferritin has dropped by 2/3 in 6 months. I'm worried, but my doc says it's ok. I think he's just tired of me. I'm hoping it will help to get my adrenals and thyroid more stable.... Guest guest
Low thyroid can cause Ferritin to drop horribly. If it wer me I would get it as high as you can with injections then immediately go on a binge to raise thyroi dto proper levels whiel it si still high enough for the thyroid to work properly. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
this explains a lot, val. thanks. my doc doesn't want to do any more infusions cos he thinks my HCT is ok -- 35 ( 37.-47.) I don't like that it's low, but he thinks that's fine even with the dropping ferritin. right now my ferritin is 41 (11-307). my temps are stable w/ the HC cream and I'm on day 5 of 15 mg Armour. Dosing the salt as well, and taking a little licorice. other supplements as well as iron, lots of B, C, selenium, tyrosine etc do you think i'm on the right track or doing more harm than good? Guest guest
I f you are not having any bad symptoms from the thyrod I would move the dosin gupo as fast as you can tolerate, and make certin you are taking at least 200mg daily of elemental iron. Theat should at least keep it from falling anymore while you get the thyroid to a decentfdose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
