Guest guest
Yes .. Ferritin 80 (range 10-154) Testosterone, free 0.6 (range 1.0-8.5) Testosterone, total 5 (range 15-70 Estradiol <32 Range: Follicular phase <165 mid-cycle 146-526 luteal phase <196 postmenopausal <32 DHEA 25 (range 40-325) I've discussed this with my ob/gyn .. he wants to put me on a hormone replacement, but I had to get a bone density test. Waiting for those results so I can bring everything to my medical dr so he can say yes or no to the hormone replacement because I had a blood clot. My ob/gyn also wants me to bring all these tests results to him so he can go over them. This is why I just love my ob/gyn, he hit on everything that I have been begging my endo for. He was very surprised that my endo isn't helping me. Gyno dr told me that my medical dr, endo and himself all need to work together to fix me. He also said the medical dr may want to do the 24 hour urine test, etc to check my " other " glands as well. He made me have hope, I wish he could be my endo too!!! Guest guest
OUCH I think I know your hair loss problems. TESTOSTERTONE hads alot to do with hair! DHEA too. And couple that with low estrogen I bet you have not had to shave anything in a while! I have to joke as I am there too, except I still have head hair.... My body hair has dwindled till I look like a pre-pubertal FAT girl. UGH... Mine is also not ferritin related NOR thyroid related nor cortisll related. Sounds liek you have 2/3's of a decent doctor between your three... I would push for them to start some sex hormones. DHEA estrogen and testoterone may be the keys you have eben ooking for. They are VERY potent hormones. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Oh gosh Val, thank you so much! I could just cry reading this. I was thinking that the hormone replacement may help me a big way before I even made my first post (stupid question, but is the hormone replacement therapy sex hormones or in the same family??). I've been literally waiting for the mailman everyday waiting for my bone density test so I can go to the medical dr and get the okay for the gyn to start it. Question though, then should I just keep my HC dosing how I've been doing it 7.5/7.5/5/2.5 since the hair loss seems to be the hormones? I laugh because I just felt my legs (I haven't shaved them in oh about a month or so) and I feel very little stuble LOL. Also I've looked at my eyebrows, nothing is falling out, but I certainly don't have to tweeze them. No hair growing there either. I go in March to get my haircut/colored. I just said to my husband, through tears, that I plan to ask him if he can do a short, cut haircut maybe that will keep my sanity. Dana > > OUCH I think I know your hair loss problems. Guest guest
It shiould be sex hormones as that is what oyu are low in, the sex hormoones consist of Progesterone, estrogen and Testosteron and DHEA is a precursor for both estrogen and Testosterone. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thank you so much, I appreciate it. I know I wrote a book in my last post, but then I should keep my HC the way I have been dosing 7.5/7.5/5.2.5 and not raise it up again to 10/7.5/5/2.5 and hope to get into the dr soon!!! Thank you again, I really really appreciated the time you took this morning!
