How long does it take to notice a difference on HC or Armour?

I began HC today as a trial..I only took 2.5 mg in the am with my 1/4

grain. Going easy does it. I was still able to drag my tired self back

to bed after the little ones left and sleep till 11am with no problem.

I did not take my adrenal cortex, since I was not sure if I should be

on both. It did not seem that I should.

How long does it take to notice a bit of a pick up in energy?

It depends on how low your cortisol is to begin wiht and how much you actually

need to get thyroid to the cells.

I take 15 mg sublingually around 8am. I feel good til about 3, then the energy

drops. Like I

can't get off the sofa drops.

I just took another 15mg and w/i minutes was fine. Val, does it really work that

quickly or am

I fooling myself?

I need to get my doc to up this dose if it really is helping this much. It's

crazy.

If it is regular HC, yes it works that uickly. Yu said oyou are taking ti

sublingually? Why? Most HC shoudl be tken by swallowing wiht some kind of

stomach protecting food such as yogurt, fats that coat the tummy, etc. Even

swallowing it I can feel it within 5 minutes.

val, you're not supposed to take hc sublingually? i have been doing

that just on the assumption i would absorb most all of it like the

armour. why isn't this a good idea then? always take swallowing with

food?

-Oops, my bad for not being clearer. I was referring to the Armour, 15mg

subling.

I took a second dose at 3pm. and felt better very quickly.

The hc i dose 3 times per day topically. Working up to 4 times perday.

I am not cerain there is a problem just that we with low thyroid are

VERY rpone to fungal infectiosn of which Thrush is a bad one. Putting a

concentrated steroid in a warm moist aerated environment like subkingual

is asking for trouble., IMO.

The T3 in Armour can usually be felt within 1-2 hours depending on your

system and absorption.
