Guest guest
Hi, I was in the hospital for four days this past week due to finally getting someone to listen to me about my adreanals. The doc ordered the MRI scan of the hypopit and it came out ok. Also did the blood draw w/o cortisol and hur later nurse put it in my IV and then about an hour later took my blood. What he concluded (the doc) was I was low in cortisol and my thyroid was low. This time serum draw the TSH and frees were low. Jan, my salvia TSH was high and frees low. So I am now on cortef and Armour which I know is most likely not right it should be cortisol and then later armour. But I am at my witts end like alot fo you are with conveying to these docs why I feel this way. I am in NO place health wise to keep going around and around and gettingnew docs I have and one can not see me until end of April and I was not well at all Monday and had to go to ER. What other tests do I need to make sure that the pit is not the issue. Val told me to cut the Armour from 60 mg the doc started me on when I left hospital yesterday and take 30 mg for now and dose the 20mg of cortef he gave me 20 ngs per day. I am to see him in a week and a half and then he will pass me on ot the Endo as he is not my regular doc she is not with that hospital and with the adrenals she wants me to see this new Endo but I could not wait I was not able to walk without help. Of course if I feel like I am not doing well again I will go back to the hospital as I am alone for a week and wil take no chances. If someone can please let me know if the tests I took are enough to rule out hypopit issues. I get my records on Monday afternoon so I am not sure what any levels in hospital were.
