Guest guest
I believe the =re is somehting blocking conversion of T4 to T3 from the looks of your cortilsl thta is probably at least part of the problem. I would suggest ONLY T3 and HC. If you cannot get the SR HC ot work well, you may have better luck with regular hydrocortisone not the SR product. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Taking T3 is the ONLY way to treat your hypothyroid when yo are not converting T4 properly as T3 is what you need. But I would take as much of the cortils as you are cpmfortable taking till you talk to the Doc and then I would try the regular HC if you have not tried this previously. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Rhonda, I have had Myxedema COma and was given 2 years to live when I was 40. Thanks to learning and self treating I have proved that doctor very wrong for 13 more years! I started sea salkt when my doctors had me on a No Salt diet for 2 years and it was literally killing me. Then I tried for 12 years to correct my hypo wiht only Armour and finally found the addition of T3 was what I needed. I have lierd and learned eveyr bit of the way with this ailment and it has been definitely the school of hard knocks but I learned well! Guest guest
Barb, I don't know if I have been tested for Graves. I had a huge panel done. Could you tell me what they test you for? I have a very low free T3 2.67 (range 3.5-4.5) Free T4 1.31 (range 1.5). My reverse T3 2as 367 (range 90-350). My Cortisol free, serum was .30 (range .20.-1.80) So, I was diagnosed as hypothyroid and adrenal insufficiency. My antibodies; Anti-microsome (TPO) was 15 0-34 Range and my Ant-thyroglobin 2as 21 0-40 range. The deer in the headlights look isn't all the time. That is what I call it a stare. What is Graves? I know what hyperthyroid is. Re: Has anyone had success on Cortisol SR " Rhonda Connelly " wrote: > I also have a deer in the headlights look. This is called TED (thyroid eye disease) and is a symptom of Grave's or hyperthyroid. Have you been checked for this? Barb
Guest guest
Val, you mentioned something is blocking my conversion of T4 to T3. My temps. avg. 98.5 the past three days. They came down to about 98.2 yestereday. I am back down to my 25 mcg of T3 this morning. If I am not getting my T3 would you stay at that dose? I have a lot of brain fog, but also feel hyper. I have a phone appt. with my doctor on Monday, but not sure what to do for tomorrow. Today I took 6.25 and 2.5 of my Cortisol. I know I can't go off completely, but do notice a rush right after taking it. What would you suggest for the rest of the night. I do have HC cream on hand also. Also, do you think Melatonin can be messing me up. I started that about three days ago? I feel a little sad also, which I haven't felt in a while. Guest guest
Thank you Val. I am sorry to have to keep e-mailing you. I feel so all alone and sad that things are going backwards. Thanks for being there. You are a terrific person. Did you go through any of this when you first started all this? Guest guest
Val, You are an amazing woman. Do you have a lot of support from your family? My husband lets me bounce a lot of him. My other family isn't very supportive. It is a lonely road and I appreciate what you do here...
