Guest guest
iherb Source Naturals makes a 1 mg sublingual melatonin, and I'm using that, cutting the tabs in half. I just also saw a liquid there that has 1 mg per ml. That would be easy to dose in .25 to .5 mg. sol dahlia_918 wrote: > Hi Sol, > where do you find .3-.5 mg melatonin. Guest guest
You can get 200 mcg (120 tabs) for $2.08 At Purtain's Pride with free shipping over $50.00 or $1.00 shipping under $50.00. With this link you also receive 5.00 off you order. http://specials.puritan.com/h/3CRHO/HIO5T/MQ/77Z21V?a1=8548&a2=8548 You can also increase your own melatonin. You must sleep in a totally dark room. No light can touch any part of your skin. This means no alarm clock, phone the windows must be totally covered. If you feel you must have an alarm clock or phone put them in a drawer and or cover with a lose box. If you sleep in the day time as I still do then you also need to seal the door with insulation in roll form so light does not leak from the frame. This actually made a great difference in my being able to sleep. From: dahlia_918 Hi Sol, where do you find .3-.5 mg melatonin. Most interested as I can't tolerate even 1 mg. thanks, Dahlia > > I take .3 to .5 mg melatonin every night. But I sometimes recently get feeling sleepy at bedtime without it, so I may be about to be able to start skipping it once in a while. sol
Guest guest
Dahlia, The moon counts. At the time implemented this was not sleeping more than 15 minutes at a time Was so tired could not even take care of my self however would lay there for hours before finally drifting off and then wake up in 12 to 15 minutes to do it again. Am also taking valerian, used to take melatonin years ago however last year with all the medical problems it made my eyes dryer than they already were which was bad enough saw the doctor weekly trying to correct the problem as well as adding drops every hour. Kept reading and finally read about no light source at all touching the skin darkened everything, and started to sleep a little longer. Iodine helped the dry eyes within 3 weeks which helped me to sleep also. Before long was getting 3 to 5 hours sleep. With HC, Armour and tons of vitamins, herbs along with amino acids now sleep 6 hour one day and 9 to ten the next seems to alternate. This is awesome as have never slept long am now trying to train my self to sleep 10 to 12 hours to get well. Oh am on high doses of B vitamins. Inostiol, Dr. Atkin's states it relaxes nervous tension and encourages sounder sleep. He also used it to treat severe cases of depression, anxiety, and obsessive-complusive disorder. He states that inositol is a safe, natural vita-nutrient that virtually eliminates the need for a whole category of potentially harmful drugs; tranquilizers and sleeping pills. From: dahlia_918 Hi , I live in the country, so darkness isn't really an issue for me. There's no other light in my bedroom. Although I guess there's always moon light and such. Hmmm. And thank you for the info on Puritan's Pride. I'll check into it. How did you feel the darkness improved your sleep? How could you tell? Guest guest
, I really appreciate your taking the time to spell all this out in detail. I bought my sleep mask today at cvs and tonight I am going to try it. Thank you so much for the 'push' to do this. Which aminos do you like for sleep, and when do you take them? How much inositol are you taking and in what form? Dahlia p.s. btw, what form and how much iodine are you taking? any idea how this helped your dry eye? > > > Dahlia, > > The moon counts. > > At the time implemented this was not sleeping more than 15 minutes at a time > > > Was so tired could not even take care of my self however would lay > there for hours before finally drifting off and then wake up in 12 to 15 > minutes to do it again. > > Am also taking valerian, used to take melatonin years ago however > last year with all the medical problems it made my eyes dryer than > they already were which was bad enough saw the doctor weekly > trying to correct the problem as well as adding drops every hour. > > Kept reading and finally read about no light source at all touching > the skin darkened everything, and started to sleep a little longer. > > Iodine helped the dry eyes within 3 weeks which helped me to sleep > also.
