Guest guest
Have you had your estradiol (total estrogen) and progesterone tested? That may help you determine what you need or don't need. I know from experience, adding in sex hormones can really upset the system further if you do not need them or adding the wrong dosage can do the same thing. If you don't already have test results of estrogen and progesterone, I would recommend getting that. It will give you a baseline from which to evaluate your situation adn make an informed diecision as to what you should do. blondiethefirstuk dawnyvonneallen@...> wrote: Hi there I have noticed on this board that a lot of people seem to be taking varous sex hormones so I thought I would have a test to see if any would be useful to me. Unfortunately the doc did this test which I do not understand and I wondered if anyone could tell me how to interpret it and also if they know of any creams I could use to make me feel better if you think I need it? serum testosterone 0.9 (0.0-3.0) serum sex hormne bnding glob 32 (26-110) Free androgen index 2.8 (<6.0) I was hoping to know from that if I should get some hormone cream estrogen or progesterone? This following one I was hoping would tell me why I feel so weak but I don't know now. serum total protein 70 gl (63-79) serum albumin 42gl (38-47) serum globulin 28gl (18-32) Urea and electolytes serum sodium 141 mmmol/l (136-145) serum potassium 4.5 (3.5-5.1) serum urea level 4.1 (2.8-7.6) serum creatinine HI 83umol/l (44-80) Ah well no doubt the doc will say I am ok, even though I know I aren't. Hope everyone is well, and keep buggin the doctors for help hehe. luv Dawnx --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Guest guest
This is what is confusing me, I told the doc what I wanted it for and this is the test he did, I suppose I should have specifically asked for totals but I stupidly assumed he would know what I wanted when I said I wanted to either supplement with estrogen cream or progesterone cream. So from this then we cannot tell at all? What is this test for anyway? luv Dawn
