Guest guest
Becky, I can't answer your question. I just wanted to see when your myo is because mine is next week as well? Guest guest
Hi Becky, I would think you'd be fine for a nice relaxing week at the beach 2 1/2 weeks after your myo. I will be 3 weeks post ab myo tomorrow & feel 99% back to normal. I went for my post op appt. yesterday and was given the green light to do whatever I want (other than getting pregnant - I have to wait at least 4 months for that). Everyone recovers at a different rate, but if it is a short drive, you won't be driving, and you are planning on a week of relaxing I say go for it & enjoy!! If I were you I'd plan on doing nothing but relaxing, then if you're up for it and do other things it'll be a bonus. Good luck with your surgery! The anticipation of it is the worst part. ~Cindy > Ladies, > > I am preparing for my myo next week and have a > question to ask of all of you. Guest guest
I flew at 1 week and again at three weeks after the second surgery and drove eight hours two weeks after the first surgery. The driving was harder after five hours but as long as you can lay down or recline and can get out and walk a bit about every two hours it should be fine. The last hour was murder...lots of cramping but we were so close to my moms I toughed it out. e --- Becky Estes lilfish_24@...> wrote: > Ladies, > > I am preparing for my myo next week and have a > question to ask of all of you. The Mol units have different ranges. The marker to look for is Free T4 to be above 50% of it's range. This applies before starting T3 treatment > >Serum T3 - 5.8pmol/l (range 28 - 7.1) > >Im currently on 60mcg T3/day and my specialist wants to start me on Armour Thyroid, im obviously quite hesitant until im sure there are no RT3 issues going on. You could go higher if you feel hypo still, it's worth getting it right on T3 before swapping back, T3 on it's own needs to be a bit over range 12 hours after the last dose. The Free T3 is more useful than the total T3 that it looks like you are measuring Nick (in Dorset) -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
My mistake, these are FT3 & FT4 results, i missed the F`s off! (cloudy head). Im definatly still hypo! i did try and raise to 70mcg but had increased palps, faster heart rate and even worse problems sleeping! I had a saliva cortisol test done which showed adrenal fatigue (very low AM reading, normal mid morning/mid afternoon and high evening cortisol levels) but this is something else im battling with my specialist and GP with as my fasting cortisol blood test came back normal range and i dont suffer low blood - they think im OK! I shall press on for a RT3 blood test! Thank you Stew > > > > > " A cautionary note is that a FT4 reading that is over 1.4 is a marker for RT3 being high " > > That's for the usual ml units. > > The Mol units have different ranges. > > The marker to look for is Free T4 to be above 50% of it's range.
