Adrenal Healing

Lately I have been feeling like I'm stuck in a deep hole and have no hope of

getting out

due to the ongoing fatigue and brain fog from my hypoT and adrenal fatigue. I

have been

dealing with a doctor two hours away primarily through labs and phone consults.

She has

been treating me since early December. I really like her and I feel she knows

what she's

doing, but I was getting discouraged because I wasn't feeling better yet. On

the advice of

a friend, I went to a local health store to talk to one of their staff members

who had healed

her adrenals. She said the supplements I am taking to heal my adrenals are good

(they

include rhodiola, cordyceps, panax ginseng and licorice root). She recommended

that I

add celtic sea salt and pantothentic acid and be sure to get plenty of rest (she

suggested

that I don't get up too early, but that's impossible).

I wasn't posting to advise others what to take, as that is an individual matter,

but I was

encouraged by something else the health food associate she told me. She told me

that it

takes at least 6 months to heal the adrenals, so I shouldn't expect to be

feeling well yet.

She said to also add 1 more month for every year that your adrenals have been

fatigued.

This little bit of info has given me hope that I can get better with time,

whereas I was

feeling pretty much gloomy and defeated lately. Anyway, thought I'd share that

in case

anyone else needed a little boost and some encouragement about this long process

of

healing ourselves and starting to feel well. Hang in there everyone!
