Guest guest
Hi Val, I'm on my 7th day at .1 mg florinef and think I need to raise, but I am having water retention issues, puffy face. I find I need more salt than just 1/2 tsp and have some sx from before I went on florinef, like increased sweating. But I'm also in the process of weaning down hc from a high stress dose for bronchitis for the past 2 weeks. Today is my 3rd day at 35 hc, was one day at 40 and before that stress dosing between 50 and 80 mgs. for bronch. My usual dose had been 40 from end of January. Before that, it was 35-37.5. Should I try to lower by 2.5 tomorrow? Also, today is my 5th day of armour increase, my temps are stable for past 2 days at 97.2-3. Don't know what they were before that. Should I proceed with raising 15mg in a day or two if temps are stable? So, should I continue to cut hc to deal with puffiness and raise florinef tomorrow, as well as raise armour in a couple days? I have periods of feeling really good; these alternate with intense fatigue. Don't know if it's hypo or coming down on hc, or needing more florinef. Please advise. Thanks, Dahlia
Guest guest
WHOA too may changes all at once. I would HOLD the Florinef right where it is, the fluid is classic symptoms o high steroid, yes I woulds try to lower HC a bit more FIRST. And I would not raise thyroid while lowering the HC back to a livable level or you may have more symptkms that you cannot figure out what is what. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I agree it's too much all at once, but I wasn't sure what to switch first...so tomorrow I'll reduce hc by 2.5, I'm just worried about the fatigue....any suggestions? If my temps are stable for another day or two, should I raise armour to 60 mg? Currently at 45. thanks, Dahlia > > WHOA too may changes all at once. Guest guest
Val, how long before the water retention lessens, do you think, and my face should look less puffy? Guest guest
>>how long before the water retention lessens, do you think, and my face should look less puffy?<< Deoends on how fast you get things back in balance. I can lose 20 poiunds of fluid in a DAY when my system gets right and fluid leaves. But i spend most of that day in the bathroom! Guest guest
that would be worth it! lol...when you say 'balance', do you mean between the hc, florinef and armour? How will I know when I've lowered hc enough? -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , wrote: > > >>how long before the water retention lessens, do you think, and my face > should look less puffy?<< > > Deoends on how fast you get things back in balance. Guest guest
If you get low cortilsl symptoms and still have puffiness, you know you are on too much FLorinef. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
That's a great way to tell, thanks Val! So far lowering hc I have no shakes, nauseau, etc., just fatigue (and the water puffs). The only reason I don't think it's too much Florinef is b/c this morning, I was feeling really bad for about an hour until I took my Florinef and then there was immediate overall improvement. I know this is not scientific, but it seemed definitive. As the day went on, I seemed to be needing more salt to keep going, and it didn't taste too salty, as it had even a few days ago. Well, I guess time will tell. Thanks again, Dahlia > > If you get low cortilsl symptoms and still have puffiness, you know you > are on too much FLorinef. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
