You are supposed to stop for 3 days prior to testing to get an accurate

resutl. If you don't then your result will show highter than your actual

levels. For instance, when I first had mine tested in December it was 14,

but I had been taking 25mg of iron per day so it was probably a bit lower in

actuality. The ferritin test I had done a few weeks ago was 20, but I had

been taking 100mg per day, so about all I know is that I'm still really

low.... I found out about not taking the iron before testing after this last

test.

Same goes for B-12 testing.
