Guest guest
Raising thyroid while ill is not a good idea. Your cortiosl is busy fighting the illness ad it will prevent you utilizing it well anyway as when ill the boduyconverts more T3 to RT3 just to slow you down to rest through an illness anyway. So it is mainly getting well then you can raise thyroid first before lowering the HC then in 4-5 days after theincrease lower HC to normal dosing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
thanks Val, I thought maybe the increase in armour would help me fight the illness which even with stress dosing is proceeding into something ugly! I'm starting antibiotics this afternoon. Should I keep stress dosing? Yesterday I added 5 mg to every dose, today I went to 20 mg for first 2 doses of the day. Not sure how to dose for the rest of the day?? Dahlia > > Raising thyroid while ill is not a good idea. Guest guest
Does it feel like the flu? If so you can dose 20mg four times a day, if just a bad cold or other infecton 10-15mg extra each dose should be enough ot help. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Not flu, probably bronchitis and maybe a sinus infection. How many days should I stress dose? I was gonna give it one more day on high dose as you suggest and then taper down? Or continue on high doses until symptoms gone? I'm planning on starting a Z-pack this afternoon. Any advice? Thanks, Dahlia > > Does it feel like the flu? Guest guest
okay, you know I have these nasty symptoms but with the extra hc I really don't feel that bad...is that the point of stress dosing, in addition to helping the body fight off the infection? > > Yes I would try to make the taper last as long as the symptoms though. > You need extra cortisl for your body to fight the infection. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
No the ppoint of stress dosing for an illness is that cortisol is the heart & soul of your immune system. It would not mean worse symptoms if you runlow in cortils while sick it wouldmean bronchitis can turn into pneumonia! Infections can take over the body when the immune system is not working well andit takes ,lots of cortisl for that to happen. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
If you are still having sympotms but mostly feel OK it is fine to start lowering the stress dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
