Lesley-

No dearheart-I think your luck is running high! She's back in faster than I

dreamed

possible, but possibly not a minute too soon. Now-make sure they do

something

about this. You can't have her in the 50's, and you can't go without sleep.

and like the doc said-if you didn't get to her on time...well..there are no

words for that!

So, she's forcing action now which is wonderful.

Just think about being able to actually sleep for a change, and let that

carry you

through the ickyness of having her in-patient for a time.

Good job, Les!

;-)

Well our run of good luck has finally expired!!

I think its for the best, we went in today because her jejunostomy popped

and needs replacing via a radiograph, and bumped into

the respiratory consultant again, she must think we visit the restaurant

every Tuesday!! after last week!!

she asked if there had been any improvement, which there hasnt things are

terrible we counted

20 to 30 times last night that she de saturated.

The consultant has kept her in yet another sleep study tonight, but did say

that she has spoken to the ENT and they will meet on the ward tomorrow

to decide whats what...she went on to say that its life threatening if we

didnt wake up, and it could end up catastrophic as a result, which we would

never forgive ourselves for...so I guess shes in the best place until we

sort this out.

Back to the life of swapping shifts at the hospital, its going to be hard to

adjust to after the smooth year we have had.

If they do do something I think it will be quick, they just need an ICU bed

before they touch her which is the only reason for delaying.

If they delay the ICU bed then we will bring her home in the interim.

well fingers crossed it all pans out simple...please god we like simple!!

love Les

Amelie-

Hoping for the best outcome - and quickly! May this bring the end of the

" desat at night " era and the start of the next run of quiet and good health!
