Guest guest
I do not know if you are of " the age " , but the intense anger I felt was from very low estrogen. HC has never made me feel angry. Guest guest
darla, i actually have estrogen dominance with very low progesterone. i used progesterone cream for several months, and although i know it's helped many others it made matters worse for me...again i think bc at the time i was looking at labs trying one thing at a time and think hypo/adrenal fatigue is the issue even hypo causing some estrogen dominance vs low progesterone being the issue. i'm trying to figure out the anger issue coming up with these possibilities of my own and gathered from responses here: 1. too low of cortisol 2. too high of a dose too quickly as rhonda suggested 3. metabolism jump starting/adrenaline rush making me feel aggression 4. any other suggestions???? i was monitoring when the anger came and seemed to hours after my dose indicating low cortisol but i've noticed a bit of it now even soon after a dose so wonder if i'm on too much? not enough? an adrenaline rush? just really confused!!!! i'm on 7.5-5-5-2.5 and my cortisol levels were near zip before starting > > > > i've posted about feeling surges of anger/aggression since getting > on > > hc and see alot of others have felt this as well but several of you > > think it could be a result of low cortisol instead of the hc. > > > > i just thought of something instead that i wondered if any of you > > thought could be a possibility, and that is since my adrenal > fatigue > > was so severe for so long that the feeling of anger/aggression i > > sometimes feel taking hc is more a result of my metabolism waking > up or > > perhaps an adrenaline rush rather than the hc itself? i think i > feel > > better overall on it and sometimes get a calming feeling with it so > i > > wondered if there is something else that could be causing those > > feelings? > > > > i wouldn't be asking so much about it other than i can't express to > you > > just how scary these feelings are. i feel literally like i could > snap > > and do something horrible they are SO intense so looking for > answers as > > to what this could be?!! > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Shar, Progesterone cream made me nuts. Not sure why. According to labs I am very low. Did you have your estrogen tested while on BC? I am not sure that would work out very well. Maybe Val will have more on this. Guest guest
darla, the progesterone cream made me nuts as well and according to my labs i had zilch progesterone which is why i tried it per their recommendation to begin with. i stuck with it a little over 3 months and it did lessen my heavy periods but i would get more ups and downs with depression/anxiety, had horrible night sweats, fluctuations with weight and bloating on and off so i stopped it. again i think now what i thought was low progesterone symptoms were more hypo/adrenal fatigue and i might have exacerbated those in trying the cream. as for bc pills i haven't been on them for years. ironically they seemed to help reverse my hypo symptoms at a point years ago but stopped being effective after a couple years and ever since i tried thereafter just caused more problems than good, so not sure why i had such low progesterone and high estrogen labs...maybe due to hypo? > > > > darla, i actually have estrogen dominance with very low > progesterone. > > i used progesterone cream for several months, and although i know > > it's helped many others it made matters worse for me...again i > think > > bc at the time i was looking at labs trying one thing at a time and > > think hypo/adrenal fatigue is the issue even hypo causing some > > estrogen dominance vs low progesterone being the issue. > > > > i'm trying to figure out the anger issue coming up with these > > possibilities of my own and gathered from responses here: > > 1. too low of cortisol > > 2. too high of a dose too quickly as rhonda suggested > > 3. metabolism jump starting/adrenaline rush making me feel > aggression > > 4. any other suggestions???? > > > > i was monitoring when the anger came and seemed to hours after my > > dose indicating low cortisol but i've noticed a bit of it now even > > soon after a dose so wonder if i'm on too much? not enough? an > > adrenaline rush? just really confused!!!! i'm on 7.5-5-5-2.5 and my > > cortisol levels were near zip before starting >
Guest guest
rhonda it does sound like we have alot in common with this. the more i read and ask the more i am thinking this is a surge of adrenaline that's making me feel angry/aggressive. i was feeling good too when starting the hc, calmer yet more energetic like my body was saying " OMG THANKS FOR THIS " then when i started ramping up i would feel these aggressive rushes, sometimes to the point of pure panic and i'd have to take ativan to calm down. other times i feel calm taking the hc and i know overall it should have that effect and i read alot online about how low cortisol causes aggressive/impulsive feelings. so i'm concluding (i think) that my body being so low on adrenal reserves for so long and my cortisol levels flatlined before taking the hc that now that it's finally getting it my body is saying 'thanks' on one hand but 'whoa...we're not used to this!' on the other causing a surge of adrenaline leading to these feelings? does that seem to make sense? maybe i should taper the dose down too? did you find the feelings subsided when you did? are you planning to ramp up again just slower? yes i also would get some headaches when i felt the anger rushes too. i just want to figure this out so much bc i know my body NEEDS the hc but i don't want to assume wrongly that i need more or less ect. until i figure it out more bc these feelings are very scary! can the adrenaline rush cause this??? > > > > > > i've posted about feeling surges of anger/aggression since > getting > > on > > > hc and see alot of others have felt this as well but several > of you > > > think it could be a result of low cortisol instead of the hc. > > > > > > i just thought of something instead that i wondered if any of > you > > > thought could be a possibility, and that is since my adrenal > > fatigue > > > was so severe for so long that the feeling of > anger/aggression i > > > sometimes feel taking hc is more a result of my metabolism > waking > > up or > > > perhaps an adrenaline rush rather than the hc itself? i think > i > > feel > > > better overall on it and sometimes get a calming feeling with > it so > > i > > > wondered if there is something else that could be causing > those > > > feelings? > > > > > > i wouldn't be asking so much about it other than i can't > express to > > you > > > just how scary these feelings are. i feel literally like i > could > > snap > > > and do something horrible they are SO intense so looking for > > answers as > > > to what this could be?!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
TY val...would you suggest then i lower hc a little and if so, hold for how long before ramping up again to what level? i'm at 7.5-5-5.2.5 now > > I think it is neurotransmitter related . Guest guest
I have had the angry feelings also. I don't feel like snapping, but I do get angry with my husband. It is like all the old stuff comes to surface now I am able to deal with it. Could it be from too high of a dose too quickly??? This what I wondered. I also have the adrenaline rushes. I am not able to relax and take it easy, so I am not sure if it is because I have a lot of physical work each day. Let me know if you figue it out. Rhonda a possible anger answer? i've posted about feeling surges of anger/aggression since getting on hc and see alot of others have felt this as well but several of you think it could be a result of low cortisol instead of the hc. i just thought of something instead that i wondered if any of you thought could be a possibility, and that is since my adrenal fatigue was so severe for so long that the feeling of anger/aggression i sometimes feel taking hc is more a result of my metabolism waking up or perhaps an adrenaline rush rather than the hc itself? i think i feel better overall on it and sometimes get a calming feeling with it so i wondered if there is something else that could be causing those feelings? i wouldn't be asking so much about it other than i can't express to you just how scary these feelings are. i feel literally like i could snap and do something horrible they are SO intense so looking for answers as to what this could be?!! Guest guest
For the " anger " question, I know there might still be some hormonal issues I haven't worked out, but sometimes I just get so angry because of the frustration of being sick for so long. I'm so limited in what I can do, my body just won't " go " like it used to, and I feel like a substandard wife and mother. I also get angry because I'll get better for a little while, then replapse again for seemingly no reason. It's like a rude little game my body is playing with me. It makes me very frustrated sometimes and I wonder if the " helplessness " of being chronically ill can also contribute to those anger feelings?
