Guest guest
Val, I took your advice and cut down to 1/2. I have actually been sleeping better and not having to go to the bathroom as often on the lower dose, BUT for some reason I am getting killer headaches in the evenings. Do you think there is any correlation? Try a large glass of salt water and see if it helps, sometimes it does. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Just my 2 cents on headaches: after being on Florinef for about a month, I got two types of headaches. One came on late afternoon, and lasted until evening; it was on the mild side, but I had to take codeine and aspirin to get rid of it. The second type of headache was the most awful headache I've ever had (and I have a long hx of headaches!) and was very hard to get rid of. Excedrin seemed to work best and coffee, both bad for the adrenals I know. But I think the vaso-constriction was what worked. It countered the vaso-dilation caused by too much salt and too much fluid retention. That's my best educated guess. In both cases, the headaches were brought on by taking too much salt for the amount of florinef and hc I was on. Once I figured out how much salt to take and at what frequency, I haven't had a headache since. That's only been about a week, but what a relief! Guest guest
Another update, I am still waking up with swollen fingers and I've been on the lower dose of Florinef for almost 2 weeks I believe. Any other thoughts? Thanks, Kim > > > > > > I would lower the Florinef to 3/4 or even 1/2 tab as this may be > > > potassium imbalance. > > > > > > -- > > > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane > WV > > > > > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > > > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > > > > > >

Guest guest
Maybe you need to lower HC as well or raise the Armour, how are your temps? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
I guess I will have to try lowering the HC. I am stuck at 4 grains as my dr wants me to stay there for a while and do labs. I know, DUMB. But I am hoping it will prove a point~that I need more! Is there any other possible reason for the swelling other than HC or hypo? My muscles are still cramping and hurting a lot. Would too much HC cause that? Thanks! Kim > > > > Val, I took your advice and cut down to 1/2. Guest guest
Cramping muscles may be from low potassium so I would eat bananas and drink some OJ. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
