She has changed so much since we have seen her last. Will we be seeing you in California? Miss you, Susil mom to Makenna 6 > > > > 's last day of preschool was yesterday. Guest guest
Hi , Great to hear from you! Arlin was just asking me earlier this week if I'd heard from you recently. How is Makenna doing? has really taken off recently with her learning. She's really making good strides with communication right now, especially with receptive sign. She's still not doing a whole lot expressively yet, but you can tell the concept is finally clicking for her and she's starting to understand that all those hand motions actually mean something. It's so neat to watch! I don't think we're going to make it to the conference this year. We're not sure would do that well on a 4 1/2-hour plane ride, plus we have a bunch of other stuff already booked for the summer and didn't really budget the time or money for it. I'm going to miss seeing everyone, though! I'm hoping the next one will be within driving distance for us so we can bring . Hope you guys are doing well! We should try to get together this summer if we can fit it in! , mom to (5) http://kauffmanlak.blogspot.com/ --------------------------------- Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi , Yes, my " baby " is growing up! She'll be off school this summer, but we're lucky in that her preschool teacher is also a licensed respite provider, so she watches two mornings a week for us. So we manage to sneak in " pseudo " summer school sessions, even though she doesn't necessarily qualify for summer school here! She'll be taking hippotherapy once a week too, which she loves. So we'll keep busy, even though it's technically summer " vacation " ! Hope enjoys her first summer off! , mom to (5) http://kauffmanlak.blogspot.com/ --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Guest guest
Pam, you'd be so proud of her if you saw her! She is SUCH a hard worker at school! (Of course, you saw that on that first day you worked with her at Perkins last summer.) Everything is really " clicking " for her right now! I really hated to see school end, she is on such a roll. , mom to (5) http://kauffmanlak.blogspot.com/ --------------------------------- Park yourself in front of a world of choices in alternative vehicles. Guest guest
Hi , great to get all the lovely feedback about . I loved reading the blog and she looked such a big girl recognising all her colours. She is so quick with her exercise too. Was thrilled to read of her progress. We have the same issues re receptive v expressive language but am sure it will all fall in in due course. At least we are happy we can explain simple things like we won't be here when cherub gets home and that Grandma will be and she gets it. Give that genius girl a hug from this household. We are not at the conference either (too expensive!). Simon will go without the rest of us. Maybe meet in 2009? Maybe! Flo > > Hi , > > Yes, my " baby " is growing up!
