Hi Christian,

Thanks for the information on the glottoplasty. I believe that is what my

daughter, Charlotte, needs as she has been diagnosed with a condition called

redundant tissue in her upper airway. She is now 3 1/2 and has been trached

since 3 months of age due to a very floppy airway. Her ENT is very reluctant

to operate on her for fear of scarring. I feel this is the only obstacle in

the way of decannulating her.

You mentioned that had her tissue trimmed, was it done by laser or

actual surgical trimming? How was her recovery?

I appreciate any other information you could provide.
