Guest guest
Lesley, Hi my name is I have a 7 yr old daughter with Charge. When she was born she would have boughts of respiratory distress. The doctors were baffled. It ended up that she had such significant trachicalmalcia (floppy treacha, that any time her blood pressure would increase every so slightly her treacha would snap shut causing her to stop breathing. They ended up doing a surigal procedure called an aorta pexy. It is very rare but it literally saved her life. The surgery involves suturing the aorta to the back of the breastbone so that it no longer crashes the treacha. I don't know if this will be a help to you or not but I do know that Chargers tend to have floppy treachas and it may be something to throw out at this meeting. Best of luck to you. I know how scary these things are but remember we are all here for you. I don't post often but I do read to keep up on what is happening with everyone. mom to Vicky 7yr
