I tend to believe cortisol saliva labs over blood labs as the cortils

can rise quite a bit even with pretty dead adrenals from the stress of a

blood draw. Your ACTH also looks a bit low for th elevels of cortisol

present. I trust blood sex hormone labs more than saliva levels.

Ok, we'll continue with the MRI and see what comes of that. Doc is suspecting

hypopituitaryism from a possible tumor or underdevelopment of the pituatiary.

Hoping for results back by next week on that then another doctor's appointment

on March 13 to review results.

My son is still tired and a bit moody, however since making changes in diet

and excercise we have seen some positive effects. It seemed like just those

changes were not quite enough to show such a marked difference in his bloodwork

vs saliva in less than 2 mths. That is what confused me. I also know " normal

ranges " are often skewed.

Thank you.
