Guest guest
This is a topic I can address. Karlee still needs to nap sometime during the day. In Middle and High School she had a respite room where she could go for this purpose. She sometimes missed a class because she needed to sleep. When we go places she usually sleeps in the car. Fatigue is an issue that just hasn't gone away for her. This fall she will be attending Norhtern Illinois University. She will be in the Program for Hearing Impaired. I have discussed this issue with the director. CHARGE children has more issues than just hearing. (don't we know!). She hates being fatigued. One night she was in tears, saying if she could only stay awake she could get better grades. She did end up with a 3.346 average (on a 4 point) She finished 22nd out of 55 students. from IL (Karlee 19 years)
Guest guest
- This is so interesting for me. I can picture Aubrie benefiting from a respite room through out her school years. Do you remember in Miami when Belinda fell asleep and missed the whole Saturday night event?? She was so upset at having missed it!! I know you and Karlee are proud of her final grade point, class rank, and acceptance into NIU. I can't wait to hear about her successes there.
