Guest guest
- We've had lots of experience with the big ones. This was our first deer tick and it was a bugger to get off!! I'm sure I didn't get it all but it seemed to come out with a bit of work. Argh. Guest guest
I found one on a few weeks ago, I have been watching him also and have seen nothing. I am also not 100% sure it was a tick because we have a spider problem at our front door. It also came off very easily so who knows but I looked up info and have not seen the bullseye mark that Aubrie has. I hope you get some meds for her and all is better soon. Guest guest
You can look up and see the picture of deer ticks. They are super tiny! And this one was connected in just the same way a large tick would be. If it hadn't acted like a tick, I would have thought it was one of her gazillion freckles/moles. Keep an eye on ! Guest guest
I have looked up pictures and its hard to tell, it was not real small but it was hinding right behind his ear and it came right off it was not stuck on him. This was like 3 weeks ago and I have not seen any marks on him. I hope Aubrie is better soon. Crystal > > You can look up and see the picture of deer ticks. Guest guest
Bonnie- Yes, 2 weeks of amoxicillin then recheck. If the rash is gone and no other symptoms come up, we're done. That's what I am expecting. Keeping my eye on the prize. Michele _____ From: CHARGE [mailto:CHARGE ] On Behalf Of Turk22082@... Guest guest
Hi, I've been away from my computer and have gotten way behind on my emails. This one caught my eye. My husband, Henry, hunts and for the past couple of years here the ticks have been really bad in PA. 2 years ago we found a deer tick on Henry one evening after he had been hunting all day. I pulled it off that Sat. night. When he came home from work on Monday he had the start of the bulls eye rash around the bite site. He went to the doctors on Tues. I kept the tick and it confirmed a deer tick. They put Henry on antibodics for a whole month. The doctors now say the tick has to be intact on you for 12 hours to be infected. Henry never got any syntoms so the month of anitbodics seemed to work. He couldn't give blood for a year though. Now when he goes into the woods he sprays himself throughly and takes all his outer cloths off on the car port when he gets home. I check him over head to toe for any ticks first thing in the door. mom to
Guest guest
Michele, Understand, we did a fair share of worring at every little ache and pain until Henry got well past the intial bite. Now I'm a fanatic about him spraying and making sure he doesn't bring any of the nasty little buggers into the house. Gives me the hebbie gebbies. mom to 31 > > - > > I'm glad to hear that Henry was well after the antibiotic treatment.
