The heart is a muscle and needs electrolytes like other muscles do. I

find I get flutters if I've lost too much salt.

Interesting. This only developed in the last week when I started back

on 's Adrenal Rebuilder (did not have that reaction before), and

pharmacy gave me Armour instead of the generic I'd been using for

months (and charged me more). Armour bottle says 30 mg, generic bottle

says 32.5 mg, and I take 4/day so if they really were identical mg for

mg, I just lost 10 mg! Pharmacy said the 32.5 was considered

equivalent to Armour's 30, but now I'm not so sure. Anxiously awaiting

saliva lab results and will decide what to do from there.

Thanks,

Barb,

I am Celiac and Hypothyroid. Thyroid meds did not stop my fluttering,

skipping, occassional pounding heart.....magnesium glycinate is

working wonders along with gluten-free, casein-free.

Too much armour/thyroid can cause irregular heartbeat/atrial

fibrillation I believe...maybe you should cut back and then go up

slowly? I'd definitely tell the doc about your symptoms. Or, could

be something in the adrenal rebuilder...I don't know this person's

supplements, but unless he's having them third party tested, there is

no guarantee your're getting what is on the bottle since there is no

regulation of supplements (and if he says he's got adrenal cortex in

there...i'd be real suspicious since I know many of these have been

tested and found just to contain cortisol). Could just be that your

did both changes at the same time so backing off the rebuilder for a

couple weeks till you adjust to the armour might be an idea too.

Thanks to all who responded. I take sea salt throughout the day, think

I eat enough potassium to balance it, magnesium 5x/day, not on HC (just

weaned off for saliva labs), if I'm hypo, it's not by much, feet still

a little cold so don't think I'm hyper, so today will not take the

Adrenal Rebuilder as a test. I did notice the label had changed since

I took it for 6 months last year with no problem. Before it was

completely porcine, now the label says the thyroid portion is bovine.

And it states that it has no hormones in it. Did not say that before.

When I was SERIOUSLY hypo, I had a loud, pounding, fast heartbeat that

was annoying when trying to sleep. But it wasn't irregular.

Thanks all,

Barb
