Guest guest
I can't think of the name of it, but there is a syndrome where the pituitary is damaged form low blood supply when a woman bleeds too much duirng birthing. I would have pituitary testing done as this could easily be the cause of your hypo and adrenal issues. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I think it's called Sheehan's? Guest guest
Val, It is called Sheehan's syndrome(pituitary damage due to excessive bleeding during childbirth), but my endo said my ACTH not work if the Pit were damaged and it doesn't seem to be since I can stress dose up to 60 mgs and then go back to 32.5 mgs hc. Does that make sense? -

Guest guest
It is called Sheehan's..and it is not necessarily ALL pituitary generated hormones that will cease or reduce..surgery is very stressful as is blood loss..adrenals working overtime for sheer survival. In addition, certain virus (ex Epstein-Barr) sense the " host's " stress and will come out to play when the immune system is compromised. One of the women on the about.com thyroid site has extensive experience with Sheehan's..You may want to check out the thread. An 's person could too. This in no way means your pituitary is fiuntioning properly. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
