This is called TED (thyroid eye disease) and is a symptom of Grave's or hyperthyroid. Have you been checked for this? Barb

Could you tell me what they test you for? I have a very low free T3 2.67 (range 3.5-4.5) Free T4 1.31 (range 1.5). My reverse T3 2as 367 (range 90-350). My Cortisol free, serum was .30 (range .20.- 1.80) So, I was diagnosed as hypothyroid and adrenal insufficiency. My antibodies; Anti-microsome (TPO) was 15 0-34 Range and my Ant- thyroglobin 2as 21 0-40 range. Looks like all your T4 is going to RT3, but I don't know why. Seems like you're both hyper and hypo at the same time. You're cranking out lots of T4, but it's all converting to RT3, leaving you feeling hypo. Not sure what the recommended treatment is. Val might be able to better explain this. Grave's is just another word for hyperthyroid. Barb
Guest guest
I have been having a tough time after going up to 12.5 and 15 mcg on Cortisol SR and would like to hear any good things about using the slow release. I read one e-mail where at 15 mcg they crashed their adrenals and it was being used up too quickly. I have an appointment on phone appt. with my Dr. on Monday so I am not sure if I should quit this and go to Hydrcortisone. I am taking 7.5 and 5 since yesterday. Today, I am feeling very panicky, anxious. My mourning temp this morning was 98.2. My average temperatures have been rising and the last three days have been 98.5. I feel really brain dead and my focus is goine. I can't retain things. I also have a deer in the headlights look. Will the temps continue to rise if the adrenals aren't working? Also, I am only on a small amount of T3? I am only on 25 mcg.
