Guest guest
I'm not completely clear. Have I heard you say you don't have to be completely hypoP but can have decreased function? I've discussed with and just don't know. Doctor of course says I'm not because I don't have lactation problems (I know, it's crazy) but the test I've done just don't make sense. also thought maybe I have adrenal atrophy but that also doesn't make sense. I've had adrenal fatigue for at least 12 years but maybe all my life. My mom also has/had every symptom of adrenal fatigue but of course was never diagnosed. I wonder if it's just a hereditary adrenal problem or a real hypoP problem. Renin - .46 (range- not sure because the values the lab give are confusing. Aldosterone - 10 (range 4-31) Sodium - 139 (range 135-146) says this should be 145 Potassium - 4 (range 3.5-5.3) says this should be 5 Both of those are of course low but here's where it gets confusing. The other tests. I know low renin and low aldosterone points to hypoP but these other test do not. By the way I don't really crave salt and I don't like the way it tastes in water and for that matter I've tried drinking salt water and it doesn't seem to help with any adrenal symptoms. AM Cortisol - 24.2 (range 4.3-22.4) note: doing anything medical makes me nervous ACTH Plasma - 42 (range 6-48) LH/FSH is almost identical TSH - 3.3 of course suggested ACTH stim test but doc said no and now I'm on HC. Do you have any thoughts on people where hypoP is not cut and dry?
