Stress dosing is very individual as everyone reacts differently to

differnt things. What stresses one person may not another. but on 20MG

daily HC dosing for a COLD, you mght just take an extra 5mg with each

dose, but with the flu I would go to 10MG extra each dose.

Much appreciated Val. Just one more quick question. For a cold maybe

one or two days of stress dosing and for a flu until you feel better,

correct?

Yes that would be usial unless th ec9ld is really bad on the third day

then by all means, stay high wiht the HC.

FWIW, I just went to my doctor who recently prescribed HC for me, and I asked

him about

stress dosing during an illness (I was on 20mg). He said I can take an extra 2

or three pills

if I have a high fever and/or vomiting, and to go to the emergency room if I

feel I need to.

He said that in times of extreme stress, like surgery or an accident, the body

needs to

produce 400mg of cortisol, so taking an extra 2 or 3 certainly won't kill you if

you have

adrenal fatigue.
