which blood tests for auto-immune hypoT?

Hi,

I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism due to a TSH of 9. But I would

like to know what kind of hypothyroidism I have. Does anyone know which

blood tests I need to ask for to be able to tell if it is an auto-

immune disease? My doctor is willing to do the blood tests I ask for,

but he doesn't know which ones I need!

You need to have thyroid antibody tests run that would be TPO, TgAb and

if your doctor doesn;t know this YOU need another doctor! thisi is very

basic info every doctor should know, and how can he treat you if he

doesn;t even know the basics?
