Guest guest
Hi all, had to go no-mail there for a few days while vacationing with in-laws - it's impossible to read this list in digest on a Blackberry . Those of you who know me know that sleep has been a major issue for me for weeks. My pdoc temporarily solved the problem for me by putting me on a very low dose of Seroquel which is doing the trick pretty nicely. However, Seroquel comes with the risk of messing with one's BS. I've looked at a couple of fasting BSs since starting it one week ago and they've been high 77s, low 80s, including today - 77 fasting and 82 two hours after eating a breakfast of a protein bar and a small glass of OJ. I just checked another about 2 1/2 hours after a meal of rice noodles with chicken and 1/2 hour after a snack of a few apple slices with almond butter and it's 130. Is that normal or something to be alarmed about? My pdoc said that Seroquel has been known to push people into diabetes, but that it happens at much higher doses than I am on - hundreds of mgs while I am on 25. She said that it would be very rare for someone on a dose as low as me to have that problem. Thanks,
