Guest guest
Hi! I'm sort of new here. I know I have hypothyroidism, and will be seeing the doc about it in 4 days. My question is about odd symptoms that may be too-high-cortisol. I have searched online for info and found very little helpful. I think hypothyroid started abotu 6 years ago but was only rcognized/treated starting in December 07. Also treated for high blood pressure. The bp meds were working fine---but after a couple months on armour(super LOW dose) I get the opposite of postural hypotension! I throb and feel like my head and neck are going to explode from the pressure. Is that too much cortisol? I don't have any hypoadrenia symptoms. Is muscle-loss being replaced with fat also a symptom? I used to exercise and build muscle easliy. Now it's just loose cellulite. How can one decrease cortisol levels? Phosphatidyl serine? Any other ways to reduce cort levels? Thanks for your help
Guest guest
First thing is to have a saliva cortisol test done as these symptoms can also be undertreated hypothyroidism.
