I'm not soliciting - I just want to share this message so you can see her on the

bag of chips! I know this family through a wonderful respite program called

Night OWLS in Dallas at a local church. I just wanted to share this great news!

Here's the main point - but you can read her message for more background! The

funny part is they switched the pictures so the photo on the chips is the other

sister....oops! (They do not have CHARGE, they have a mitochondrial disorder.)

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is having their first ever national signature

campaign this June, Destination Joy, presented by LAY'S (more info on this later

in the email). My guys and a group of other Wish Kids were asked to do some art

to be considered for select bags of LAY'S chips to be sold during the campaign

and on Wednesday it was announced that MADISON'S ART WORK WAS CHOSEN!!! Her

artwork and story will be on the backs of all the LAY'S Classic Potato Chip

Family Size bags sold exclusively at Walmart starting May 28th until the end of

June, all over the country!! Two of our fellow Make-A-Wish families had their

children's art chosen too, and Janvi, and they will be on the backs of

the Barbeque and regular sized Classic potato chips sold everywhere, so watch

for those too!! The kids we're asked to draw something that made them joyful

and Madison's picture was of a beautiful green meadow, a blue sky with a bright

sun shining, and one very precious pink flower right in the middle......I cannot

think of something more joyful!!

Hi Friends!!

Happy Mother's Day wishes going out to all my special mom friends!!

We have some very exciting news, but first let me share (in case I haven't

before) a little history. Our family was very blessed back in 2001 to have The

Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas come into our lives. While no one wants

to have a child/children that qualify for a wish, it is truly a wonderful gift.

So back in 2002 Madison's wish to go to Disney World, and Chance's to go to

Hawaii were granted and our family experienced once in a lifetime experiences.

Two years later, in 2004, Abigail's wish to go " someplace snowy " and be there on

her 6th birthday was granted and we spent a week at the end of January in

Keystone, Colorado skiing and playing in the snow. These were incredibly

special times that truly changed our lives and left us with incredible memories

that we still cling to on a regular basis. We were free from all that ails us

here at home for those small snippets in time, and for that we will forever be

grateful.

In 2003 we started getting more and more involved with Make-A-Wish and have been

blessed to find an extended family at our local office, as well as a chance to

be involved with some amazing adventures through the organization. It's also

given us a chance to get the kids involved in " giving back " from a very early

age and we love having the chance to show our thanks through the kids creating

art work that's given at fundraisers and auctioned at their Black Tie Gala, Wish

Night, held in May.....through the kids performing at Wish Night...through the

kids giving their own money to help with other children's wishes.....through

public speaking on behalf of the organization.....and all the other ways we can

find to be involved. They have even made it possible for Chance to come and

work at the office a couple of times a month, to learn work skills in a safe,

protected environment.....a priceless gift!!

Make-A-Wish has given us amazing memories to cherish forever, an amazing

extended family we love, and the blessing of a future to look forward to.

On to our exciting news!!

As happens sometimes when your doing something like this, there are mistakes

made. It was only realized at the last minute Wednesday that they mistakenly

put Abigail's photograph instead of Madison's on the bags!! Ah well, it could

have been some random kids photograph on there, atleast it is her sister!!

Madison is just so thrilled to have her artwork chosen, she's not been too

phased by the photograph snaffu. Everyone at Make-A-Wish feels horrible but ya

know, considering all we have been through in our lives, something like this is

not even a blip in the screen!! Besides, works in advertising and he

totally get's how these things happen sometimes. Abby is personally very

tickled but being considerate of her sister's feelings and not making too big a

deal of it. One of those things that will go down in family lore no

doubt....LOL.

In addition to this honor, our family will be a Spokesfamily for the promotion

during the kick off week starting June 5th, and may be doing both television and

radio interviews during that time. I will post to our family website (McNair

Family Updates) as I know times and stations!! We'll post any other exciting

news there also, so check back regularly. Currently our Wish Night adventures

are shared there :-)

Finally, we'd like to encourage all our friends to consider becoming a part of

the Make A Wish family. They have been such an incredible blessing to our

family and so many others like our's.
