Guest guest
(sent to both lists as it seems appropriate given the links as I understand them) This just came in from the Low-Oxalate diet list (which I lurk in just to see what's going on, and sometimes tell people about the Vitamin-K/K2 protocol..) about a " new " (sic) study about calcium oxalate and kidney stones, and how oxalobacter could help. (Has there been a concurrent rise in kidney stone rates and widespread broad-spectrum antibiotic useage [without probiotic useage afterwards] I wonder?), and my response: " > Common Gut Bacterium May Reduce Risk of Kidney Stones > BOSTON, March 5 -- Presence of Oxalobacter formigenes in the > intestinal tract is associated with a 70% decreased likelihood of > developing calcium oxalate kidney stones, a case-control study > revealed. (response): They're just NOW figuring that out?? Jesus.. " Could Vitamin K help as well, or for that matter low-dose hypothyroid treatment? (even in neurotypicals with no iodine transporter issues as may be the case in autism), as K helps break down Ca-oxalate in the gut? Or could the bicarbonnite imbalance lead to oxalate exchanger problems in non-ASD individuals? Jim

I haven't had a bloody nose in 4 months and prevously I was having them frequently. 2008 walking miles Goal 600 miles for 2008 March miles - 13 miles Year - 112 miles http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/healthylivingwithhypothyroidism/ ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
