Guest guest
I just got my sex hormones tested for the first time. Estriadol 15 Male(20-49 years): 1-3 pg/ml Progesterone 125 Male(adult): 5-95 pg/ml Testosterone 38 Male(20-30 years): 60-110 pg/ml I'm 23 years old, so I understand the the low testosterone and high estriadol is bad. But what does the elevated progesterone mean? Do I have to take special supplements for these issues, or will my sex hormones normalize as my adrenals and thyroid heal? And I'm not sure what my new test results mean. 7:00-8:00AM 10 Depressed (13-24) 11:00-Noon 3 Depressed (5-10) 4:00-5:00PM 1 Depressed (3-8) 11:00-Midnight 17 Elevated(1-4) Cortisol burden: 31 (23-42) DHEA: 3 Borderline (3-10) Saliva Thyroid Study: fTSH >600 HIGH (Borderline High is 86-120) fT4 0.20 Normal (.17-.42) fT3 0.37 Normal (28-1.10) TPO Negative (Normal: Negative) Previous test results from April 2007. 7:00-8:00AM 13 Normal (13-24) 11:00-Noon 3 Depressed (5-10) 4:00-5:00PM 1 Depressed (3-8) 11:00-Midnight 1 Normal (1-4) Cortisol burden: 18 (23-42) DHEA: 25 Elevated (3-10) Saliva Thyroid Study: fTSH >600 HIGH (Borderline High is 86-120) fT4 0.29 Normal (.17-.42) fT3 0.53 Normal (28-1.10) TPO Negative (Normal: Negative) So... over the past 10 months, my AM cortisol dropped, but my midnight cortisol went through the roof. How would this happen? And my DHEA crashed hard. I had my new testing done after I had been on 30-40mg HC for about 5 months. I weaned off of it because I was impatient and wanted to see if it had any effect on my results in that that short period of time, but I guess I should've just stayed on it. Oh well, at least I now know where I stand. -Jung
