Guest guest
Progesterone cream can make you feel sleepy. If you take it at two times during the day, try the second dose usually right before bed to alleviate that grogginess. As far as strength, it is more than i am taking. I use a 60mg/ml cream (transdermal) and vary the dose throughout my period, days 1-2 nothing, days 3-10 15mg; days 11-15 30mg, days 16-23 60 mg, and then 30 mg for days 24-28. Is your doctor tryign to combat high estrogen? If so, the higher progesterone will help balance the ratio of the two. Oral formulation is different than the dermal. it first has to be metabolized by the liver to get into the system. That is why doses are different, but they can achieve the same results. Good luck kmmlynch66@...> wrote: I know when you test cortisol you need to be off HC or Isocort. My levels were very high and have been taking Seriphos, if I retest do I need to stop that for a certain amount of time like the HC? I have convinced my hormone doctor to lower my progesterone and let me cycle until our next visit in May, I may want to retest my cortisol at this time to see if maybe it was the P that was causing it to be so high but am unsure about being off the Seriphos for a period beforehand. Also I know you are supposed to test on days (19- 21) of cycle, should I test before I start my Progesterone rx for the month? Sometime I feel like the Progesterone was making me groggy all day long. Does anyone know if 75mg transdermal Progesterone is on the high side? Also where would 3mg biest be, on lower or higher end? I pick up my new rx's tomorrow, the biest is still transdermal and the progesterone and testosterone, DHEA are now oral. The dose of both progesterone nd estrogens are determinesd on your AGE adn hormone status though. Mine is the dose for post meno, and I take 1.25mg Premarin so that may be a bit of a high dose too, but I am not familiar with dosing that particular estrogen and maybe it is differnt. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
