Guest guest
Dahlia, thanks so much for responding! Yeah, I seriously doubt I need MORE salt as I take 1/2 tsp morning and bedtime and heavily salt my food all day long. What dosage of Florinef are you on and how much salt to do take? I'm wondering if I should cut the dose of salt by 1/2 and see what happens. Kim > > Just my 2 cents on headaches: after being on Florinef for about a > month, I got two types of headaches. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I'm taking .1 mg of florinef + 1 tsp salt (not counting salt on or in food). First thing in the morning, I take 1/2 tsp salt with vitamin C. After lunch, I try to get in another 1/2 tsp, usually I take it in 2 doses, 1/4 tsp each. I don't heavily salt my food, in fact I probably don't use enough! But I try to get 1/4 tsp with each meal. I eat no processed food at all (unless I can't avoid it!), so I don't get a lot of extra salt. If you're still having bad headaches, I would think you might wanna try cutting down on your salt. Do you have any sense of what else might be causing them? How much florinef are you on? hc? Guest guest
I just cut down from .1mg Florinef to .05mg. I am takig 30mg of HC. Val suggested cutting back on the Florinef as I was having muscle cramping and water retention. I had tried upping my dose and that didn't seem to help. I was up all night going to the bathroom. Since I cut back on the Florinef (5 days ago I think) I am doing better with that. But the headaches in the evening are no fun! Guest guest
Kim, Sounds like you're doing the right thing cutting the florinef. Have you tried further decreasing salt to see if it helps the headaches? I totally sympathize, headaches are terrible, there's no where to go to escape. Hope I've helped.
