I'm taking HC and Armour...do I need to do anything different before the blood draw? Also, my doc doens't think I need the aldosterone test...if I can talk him into it, is it a good/valid serum test? Also, I had TIBC (was 23%)and ferritin done 3 months ago and ferritin was 16 which is not technically low ( I know it IS low)...and i'm wondering if insurance is likely to cover it if I do it again so soon given it was not low in their view. Anyone have trouble doing labs on ferritin every 3 months and getting coverage? ( i know it's a general question and everyone's insurance is different!)
